Very, very sweet. Without being silly or condescending. A lovely way to wrap up the series, as Sophie learns better how to interact with people like her sister and Mindy the mean girl and Toby her former best friend. Honestly just a lovely book. Nice enough that it raises the entire series up a notch or two in my how-likely-would-I-be-to-recommend-this-to-an-eight-year-old estimation.
I do have to say, though, that the bit about the two-year-old not only not eating the phone, but figuring out how to open a game on it and earning the all-time high score totally had me laughing. Probably my favorite bit of the series.
