The Book High
I've always said I'll read anything, and I really do mean that. Lately M/M romance has had my interest, but fantasy and sci-fi were my first loves and will always hold a special place in my heart. I also love histories and biographies.
An interesting introduction to the Civil War for children. I like that Ms. Osborne let Jack and Annie speak to people from all different sides: Union soldiers, Confederate soldiers, African Americans fighting for the Union army, and nurses taking care of everyone. It gave a unique perspective on the war to have so many different viewpoints.What I didn't like and couldn't believe was that Clara Barton would take children to a battlefield to help her pick up wounded soldiers. I understand how it helped the plot of the story, but I couldn't suspend my disbelief quite enough for that.
