This was much more fun to read than #2 was. Exciting and intriguing, with both a boating accident, a kidnapping and a spectacular car crash, if this were written more recently I'd say it had been written with the movie in mind.
And the mystery this time I thought was much more exciting. Again, I like how many of the different elements overlap (although that does make it all seem simplistic and too good to be true).
Most fascinating for me, though, was getting to see how people lived before cell phones and internet and email. The number Mr. Drew leaves for Nancy to call to reach him in Cincinnati actually has letters in it! I'm very curious what my students will think of this series.
